Electro-Mechanical Engineering Operative

Webb-Elec Limited has an immediate requirement for a skilled electro-mechanical engineering operative to complement our existing team.

Due to a successful programme of organic growth and moving into new service areas, we are looking for a skilled operative to join us as we move forward over the next 5 years.

The successful candidate will be time served with appropriate qualifications. They must have experience and skills to work effectively within our organisation. Key tasks will involve repair and overhaul of electric motors, pumps, industrial gearboxes, fan units and allied equipment. The role will involve working both in our workshop and also on customers’ sites. This can include; identifying faults, carrying out mechanical & electrical repairs & rebuilding equipment as necessary. Experience in using vibration monitoring, dynamic balancing and laser alignment equipment would be an advantage.

Candidates must have good communication skills and be capable of working effectively within a team and on their own initiative. They must also be flexible & take part in a call-out rota. As our work often involves servicing urgent breakdowns, overtime may be necessary in the evenings and at weekends.

Ongoing training in health and safety and use of new equipment will be provided. The successful candidate will be required to participate fully in these areas to improve their skills and integrate into our current team.
