Not only do we supply new units but we also have a fully equipped repair shop specialising in the repair and rebuild of geared motors and associated equipment. Often when supplying a new unit we rebuild the customer’s existing gearbox for them to hold as a spare at a future date. Typical repairs include a motor rebuild, replacement bearings & seals, gears manufactured and replaced, new shafts machined & lubricant replaced.
An incorrect mounting position is often the cause for premature gear failure where the lubricant level is not sufficient to lubricate all the gears. Our engineers can advise on this and also provide a site visit to assist you in minimising future failures whether due to mounting position, duty cycle, loading or alignment issues.
